Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving in my opinion is the best holiday. It's pretty much exactly like Christmas but without the pressure of gifts, family drama and of course... winter. Don't get me wrong, who doesn't like getting gifts at Christmas, but Thanksgiving is great for a relaxing meal with all fresh food since it's harvest season and of course, great wine. The leaves have turned colors and generally everyone is just happy to be where they are! This year we're extremely lucky to have Indian summer fall upon our long weekend!

I promised I would share my fall inspired cupcakes with you, so here they are! The theme of the cupcakes is knitting and quilts. The Cupcakes were for my friend's sister who is amazing at creating really cute receiving blankets and quilts. As talked about earlier this week, the color was inspired by the vibrant orange fall tree.

I did a chocolate cake with a vanilla buttercream icing. The decorations are made out of fondant and were all handmade.
