So as many of you Adele fans have probably heard in the news, Adele has cancelled all of her remaining tour dates in 2011. She has been having trouble with throat infections and will be undergoing surgery soon to hopefully cure this problem! There’s rumors being spread like wild fire that Adele has actually been diagnosed with throat cancer but according to her rep, this is 100% false news. (Thank god!!!!)
Before you jump to conclusions, I am not posting an Adele song today, I figured since I already blogged about her in early October, it’s a little too soon! As mentioned in that post “19, 21”, I saw Adele live for the second time this past May in Montreal, absolutely fantastic! Adele brought on tour with her, 2 ridiculously talented people; Joy Williams & John Paul White, also known as “The Civil Wars”. They were the opening act for the night and I cannot even describe how amazing they were live. They opened the show with the song I will be sharing with you today and I kid you not the entire theatre was dead silent and completely in awe. In fact, The Civil Wars themselves couldn’t believe what a great audience we were. I think we were just all shocked with how amazing these 2 complete strangers were. Later that week my dad surprised me (good man) with their debut album called “Barton Hallow” and I fell in love. Almost all of the songs are incredible, but the only disappointment was that this song “Tip of your tongue” wasn’t on the album!
So prepare yourself for shivers…. “Tip Of your Tongue” performed Live in Austin, Texas by The Civil Wars!
This picture isnt the best, but I took it from their May 16th 2011 Show in Montreal.
I am sad to announce that they JUST played in Montreal on October 29th at “le Gésu”. I would have loved to see them again!
Cheers!
